He is an Associate Editor of Cognitive Science and serves on the editorial boards of Artificial Intelligence and AAAI Press. Dr. Gino Tu Yu received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and currently works as an Associate Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.

The JOGD serves both the game development industry and the academic community. It presents leading-edge, original research, as well as the theoretical underpinnings that detail the most recent findings in related academic disciplines that will directly affect the way games are developed.

Published quarterly, the JOGD provides an outlet for peer-reviewed research, with a focus on game-related issues. It covers broad game development related areas including: artificial intelligence, mathematics, physics, multiplayer games, and programming, graphics, audio, simulation, polygonal techniques, real-time issues, and more. Other areas of importance and application for these findings include robotics, visualization, and grid computing. The journal helps bridge the gap between the game industry and academia. Papers are accepted continuously and are welcome from both academics and industry pros.

Charles River Media, Inc. publishes technical books for computing professionals in the areas of game development, computer graphics, programming, electrical and computer engineering, networking, and the Internet. Further information on the JOGD is available at: www.jogd.com.
